Media and Broadcast Interpreters

At TJC Global, our media and broadcast interpreting covers lectures, speeches and various types of shows (such as TV, radio, stage and other live shows).

Lectures and Speeches

For the interpretation of lectures and speeches, our interpreters will meet with the speaker in advance to review all the necessary materials, such as scripts, film, slides, technical documents and illustrations. The required pace of the delivery and the degree of interaction between the speaker and the audience will also be included in the discussion, as these factors play a large part in influencing how effectively the [lang] interpreter can present the client’s work.

Unless there is a time constraint, our interpreters rehearse the material with the speaker present, to identify and eliminate any potential technical or procedural problems before the speech or lecture is delivered.

Broadcasting

Broadcasting interpreting can be a demanding environment for an interpreter to work in. Our interpreters are familiar with the challenges this particular work involves, such as:

  • Simultaneous interpretation
  • Effective diction
  • Interaction with the presenter
  • Awareness of off-camera personnel and procedures

Our interpreters have the qualifications and experience necessary to meet the challenges of interpreting for broadcasting purposes. They have the professionalism, interpreting skills and ability to adapt required for these demanding roles.
