Telephone and Video Conference Interpreting
With the increasingly fast and advanced technologies, people are communicating not only on the phone but also using modern technology such as video conferencing and VOIP.
Our interpreters are familiar with interpreting, often taking the consecutive interpreting form, where one person speaks, waits for the interpreter’s interpretation, and then continues. The interpreters sometimes assist with the transcription and/or translation of the conversation contents.

Why is it common?
Telephone (and other remote) interpreting is a flexible method for information exchange as it does not require the physical presence of an interpreter. As such, it is also convenient because it only requires the interpreter to have access to a telephone, and this convenience translates into reduced cost and eliminates the need for travel.
Interpreting using these methods is commonly used in a business environment, because it is a useful method for marketing, business conferences and telephone conferences, as multilingual, international workforces become more common. These technologies are also increasingly useful in the public sector, such as healthcare, police and the social services.
